I Just Scanned Twenty-Seven Murads

And boy is my scanner tired!

But, seriously folks, I picked up a huge lot of twenty-seven T51 Murads this past weekend.  The best part was that the seller allowed me to pick and choose which cards I wanted from the lot, so I didn't end up with a pile of unnecessary doubles.

Therefore, I am proud to announce that I've passed the 50% mark for the set, 58.6% (88/150 cards) to be exact, which means I accomplished my second collecting goal of 2012.

To commemorate meeting this goal, I thought I'd show off my favorite card from the lot, and possibly my favorite card of the set so far, and then I plan to post the rest of the lot one card at a time over the next couple of weeks.

Heidelberg University -- 61/150

I love this card.  The art on the card is completely different than any other Murad card I own because it is the only one so far that features an animal.  All the other cards either feature a person engaged in an activity or, if there is no person in the scene, a large pennant flying in front of a single color background.

The fish and reel with the wood background and vibrant pennant make this card an all-time-great.

Stay tuned for more Murads, with the occasional Hochevar sprinkled about, over the next couple of weeks.
